Looking for a boat rental in Madeira Beach? The town and Treasure Island sit side by side on the barrier island north of St. Pete Beach, and between them they offer a good deal of water. A private yacht gives your group the whole boat, with a licensed captain, crew and fuel included, so you can spend a charter day on the bay or the Gulf at your own pace.
The office confirms whether Madeira Beach fits your day and which boat suits it, and confirms your meeting point before the day. If your group is staying on Treasure Island or Madeira Beach, tell us where, and we plan the day with that in mind.
The best-known landmark on this stretch is John's Pass Village, the boardwalk of shops and restaurants beside the pass, with the bridge crossing above the channel. The pass connects the Gulf to the bay, and boats of every size use it, so the captain will want to pick the moment. Seen from the water, the village looks like what it began as, a working fishing harbor. Your captain advises on what suits the day, and the pass is never a promise, because tide and traffic decide.
Treasure Island runs along the Gulf with a wide, easy beach that guests like to look at from a short way offshore. The captain decides where the boat anchors, and a calm spot off the beach is a pleasant place to swim and eat. A sunset here faces straight over the water; our private sunset cruise page explains how an evening works.
Behind the islands lies Boca Ciega Bay, a sheltered, shallow bay dotted with small islands and mangroves. It is the gentler option when the Gulf is lively, and the Intracoastal alongside is a stretch where dolphins are often seen. Wildlife is never guaranteed, but a calm morning here gives you the best chance.
No other group shares the boat. Food is easy to add: the office can arrange a chef and catering, with a separate quote.
South along the coast, St. Pete Beach has Pass-a-Grille and the Don CeSar. To the north, Indian Rocks Beach and Clearwater Beach are a longer, slower stretch of the same Gulf coast.
