About the 44' Aquila

Two hulls. One gathering place. A quieter kind of luxury.

The Aquila 44 Yacht brings a different scale to the Well Played Editions fleet. Her 21'6" beam creates the feeling of a much larger yacht without asking guests to live on a single narrow deck. The ride is level and composed. The salon opens to the water on three sides. The flybridge becomes the social heart of the day the moment the lines come off.

Inside, a bright main-deck salon and galley keep the group together, while the hulls below hold the private cabins that give this catamaran true overnight substance. Outside, the aft cockpit, wide side decks and flybridge dining and lounge areas let the day move with the sun. She is built to entertain without crowding, and to cruise without drama.

From Maximo Marina she is perfectly placed for the Sunshine Skyway, Shell Key and Egmont Key. Published Volvo diesel performance gives her an efficient mid-teens cruise and the range to make a Tampa Bay itinerary feel expansive rather than rushed. On this yacht, the destination is only half the story. The platform itself is the event.

Perfect for

  • Corporate & executive entertainingRoom to host without crowding, plus a composed ride that keeps conversation easy even when Tampa Bay has a little movement.
  • Luxury social outingsSalon, cockpit and flybridge give a group separate rooms in the open air — music, lunch and views without everyone stacked on one deck.
  • Couples & close friendsThe beam works just as well for a smaller party. Cabins stay private. The flybridge becomes a quiet perch over the water.

Why we chose this yacht

Because space on the water should feel like space, not a compromise.

The Aquila gives Well Played Editions a yacht that lives wider than her length. Guests feel it immediately: a salon that does not pinch, a flybridge that actually holds a party, and a ride that stays level when a monohull would start to work.

We chose her for days that need both presence and ease. She photographs like a much larger yacht, hosts like a waterfront home, and still slips into the skinny water that makes St. Petersburg charters special. That combination is rare.

Most of all, she changes the pace of the day. People spread out. Conversations last. The water stays close on both sides. You leave Maximo knowing the boat itself is doing half the entertaining. That is why she belongs in the Well Played fleet.

A day aboard

Your day begins at Maximo Marina in south St. Petersburg. The Aquila's twin hulls and long flybridge make an impression before anyone steps aboard. Once the lines are off, the group finds its places — salon, cockpit, flybridge — and Tampa Bay opens out in every direction.

Cruise toward the Sunshine Skyway and let the catamaran do what she was built to do: stay level, stay quiet, and cover water without turning the day into a pounding run. From there, the plan can turn toward Shell Key for time at anchor or continue toward Egmont Key when weather, charter length and the captain's plan align.

At anchor, the energy spreads. Lunch comes out on the flybridge or in the cockpit. Guests move between shade, sun and the water. The yacht becomes a private island with a view in every direction until someone finally decides it is time to hear the engines again.

Then comes the ride home. Late-day light moves across the salon, St. Petersburg starts to appear, and the Skyway falls behind you. On this yacht, returning to Maximo is not just transportation. It is one more wide, easy mile of the day.

Life, Well Played.
