Private yacht charter for Sarasota

Sarasota is one of the loveliest stretches of the Gulf coast for a day afloat, and the boat for it is close by. Top Fun, our 48' Formula, is based at Safe Harbor Pier 77 on Anna Maria Island, a short run north of Sarasota Bay, so a Sarasota day aboard her starts without a long delivery first.

Which boat, and from where

Top Fun meets guests at Pier 77 on Anna Maria and runs south past Longboat Key into Sarasota Bay. The rest of our fleet is based around Tampa Bay, well to the north, and one of those yachts can make Sarasota a longer day if the date and boat suit. If you are staying in Sarasota and want to board close to where you are, tell us, and we say plainly what is possible. We would rather give you an honest answer than a promise we cannot keep.

Sarasota Bay

Sarasota Bay is the long, sheltered water between the mainland and the keys, with the downtown skyline and the marina frontage on one side and the islands on the other. It is generally calmer than the open Gulf, which makes it a good choice for a relaxed lunch and a swim. The captain decides where the boat anchors, based on wind, tide and traffic.

Lido Key and St. Armands

Lido Key lies just off the mainland, and the circle of shops and restaurants on St. Armands is one of the best-known spots in the area. From the water you see the keys' shoreline, the beach at Lido and the small bridges linking the islands to the mainland. Whether the yacht can come alongside anywhere ashore is something the captain and office confirm in advance.

Longboat Key

North of Lido, Longboat Key stretches a long way along the Gulf. A day on the bay can pass along its shoreline, and our Anna Maria Island boat charter page covers the water just beyond its northern end.

Bring your own drinks. If you would like a chef aboard, the office arranges chef and catering and quotes them separately.

Closer to our ports

If you want to see the Gulf with a shorter day, the Egmont Key boat trip is much nearer to our home waters, and the captain tells you what it offers on the day.
