42' Aquila
MarineMax St. Petersburg (Gulfport) · Up to 12 passengers, plus the charterer: 13 aboard in total.
A true yacht-style power catamaran with an extraordinary 21-foot beam, elevated flybridge and multiple outdoor gathering spaces. Home-ported at MarineMax St. Petersburg on Boca Ciega Bay, the Aquila 42 gives guests room to spread out for a polished Gulf Coast day - from Gulfport and Shell Key to the beaches, islands and open-water views beyond.
About the 42' Aquila
More room to gather. More places to disappear. One very good day on the water.
The Aquila 42 Yacht is built around space - not simply more of it, but smarter use of it. At 41'6" long with a remarkable 21-foot beam, she feels substantially larger than her length suggests. The flybridge becomes its own destination, the bow creates another outdoor retreat, and the aft cockpit flows naturally into a bright salon and galley.
That layout is what makes her such a natural fit for Well Played Editions. A group can be together without being on top of one another. Some guests can claim the flybridge and the view, others can stretch out forward, and someone will inevitably settle into the shaded aft area with a drink and decide not to move for a while.
From MarineMax St. Petersburg on Boca Ciega Bay, the yacht is positioned beautifully for Gulfport, Shell Key, the beaches and longer cruising toward Egmont Key or through Tampa Bay when charter length and conditions allow.

Why we chose this yacht
Because space changes the way people experience a yacht.
The Aquila 42 doesn't ask a group to spend the entire day in one place. That's what we love about her. The flybridge can feel lively and social while the bow stays relaxed. The aft cockpit can host lunch while the salon offers a cool interior retreat. Everyone gets to choose how they want to spend the day without losing the feeling of being together.
Her power-catamaran platform also brings the stability and generous beam that make Aquila yachts so distinctive. At 42 feet, she offers the kind of usable entertaining space guests often expect from a considerably larger traditional motor yacht.
Add the Boca Ciega Bay home port, easy access toward Shell Key and the unmistakable flybridge profile, and she brings a different level of experience to the Well Played fleet - elevated, comfortable and still completely approachable.
A day aboard
Your day begins at MarineMax St. Petersburg on Boca Ciega Bay. Once everyone is aboard, the yacht starts doing what she does best: giving people choices. Someone heads straight to the flybridge. Someone claims the bow. Drinks find their way to the aft cockpit, and suddenly the day is underway.
Cruise across Boca Ciega Bay and let Gulfport and St. Petersburg fade into the background as you make your way toward Shell Key. Once the anchor is down, the yacht becomes your private base for the afternoon - swimming, lunch, music, conversation and enough space for everyone to find their own version of doing absolutely nothing.
On a longer outing, the route can stretch toward Egmont Key or farther into Tampa Bay when weather, charter length and the captain's plan allow. Or stay closer to home and enjoy the protected waters, beaches and island scenery surrounding the southern Pinellas coastline.
As the afternoon softens, head back toward Boca Ciega Bay from the flybridge. The view opens up, the light changes, and St. Petersburg begins to come back into focus. It's the kind of ride home that makes everyone ask the same question: how is the day already over?
