41' Sea Ray Express

Maximo Marina · Up to 12 passengers, plus the charterer: 13 aboard in total.

A Well Played-owned Sea Ray 410 built for the kind of St. Petersburg day that ends with sandy feet. Her approximately 3'4" draft gives her an advantage over many of the larger yachts in the fleet: when depth, conditions and local anchoring rules allow, she can anchor closer to suitable shallow-water areas, making swim stops and Shell Key-style days especially easy and inviting.

About the 41' Sea Ray Express

Sometimes the best yacht isn't the biggest one. It's the one that gets you closer to where you want to be.

The 2000 Sea Ray 410 Express is one of our own Well Played vessels, and we know exactly why guests love her. She has the comfortable cockpit, cabin and amenities you expect from a Sea Ray cruiser, but her real personality comes out when the plan includes swimming, floating, beach time and getting close to the water.

With a published draft of roughly 3'4", she can operate in shallower water than many of the larger, deeper-draft motor yachts in the fleet. That does not mean pulling onto the beach or ignoring safe-water requirements - the captain always determines where the yacht can safely anchor - but it can mean getting closer to suitable shallow-water destinations so guests have an easier swim or wade toward shore when conditions permit.

From Maximo Marina, that makes her a natural fit for Shell Key, protected Tampa Bay anchorages and relaxed island-style outings. Add a spacious cockpit, extended swim platform, air-conditioned cabin and full galley, and you have a yacht that feels less like a floating venue and more like your own private Florida beach-day headquarters.

Why we chose this yacht

Because bigger isn't always better. The right yacht depends on how you want to spend the day.

Our larger yachts are incredible when the yacht itself is the destination. The Sea Ray 410 shines when the water and the beach are the destination. Her comparatively shallow draft gives the captain more flexibility around suitable shallow-water anchorages than our deeper-draft motor yachts, helping guests feel closer to the sand, the water and the reason they came to Florida in the first place.

She's also one of ours, which matters. We know the vessel, we know how she likes to spend a day on Tampa Bay, and we know the experiences she delivers especially well. She's comfortable enough for a full day aboard but casual enough that nobody worries about showing up with a beach bag and a swimsuit.

This is the Well Played yacht for guests who say, 'We want to get in the water.' And that's exactly why she earns her place beside yachts twice her size.

A day aboard

Your day begins at Maximo Marina in south St. Petersburg. Coolers are tucked away, shoes come off and the cockpit fills up quickly. This yacht doesn't need a formal introduction. Within minutes, everyone understands the assignment: get out on Tampa Bay and find the water.

Cruise toward the Sunshine Skyway and then turn toward Shell Key or another captain-selected anchorage. Because the 410 draws less water than many of the larger yachts in the fleet, the captain may be able to position her closer to suitable shallow-water areas when depth, tide, weather and local regulations permit.

The anchor goes down. The swim platform becomes the busiest place on the yacht. Guests float, swim and - where safe and appropriate - make their way toward shallower water or shore. Lunch happens when everyone gets hungry enough to come back aboard.

Later, towels appear everywhere, the music stays on and the ride back to Maximo catches the beginning of the St. Petersburg sunset. It's not the most formal yacht day in the fleet. It may be one of the most Florida.

Life, Well Played.
